There are plenty of unfounded comparisons. It used to be Avril Lavigne and if you were Hailey Williams you even got Kelly Clarkson. So despite having been around and active for the same time, in fact, longer than Paramore, it really is a big step up from the aforementioned Avril who at this point can't fill a free concert. Paramore are a rocking band.
We released the same songs that were on Soho Lights in England before Paramore put out their 1st single in 2004, so sure, we've been at it, and havn't changed. They've put our more records and I say props to them. I like the band, and although don't feel much in similarities other than a remotely similar style for a period of our musical careers, I take is as a compliment and take my hat off to them for their hard work and some great tunes!
Like paramore in one way. Otherwise. Not really similar. If i were to put genres on the two bands. It would be Punk Rock (TAT). And Pop Rock. I love paramore. And I love TAT. But lets not compare them.

ReplyDeleteWhen Avril first came out, sure, and yeah, i had to hear it from labels and press alike. Was incredibly frustrating to have people have such a small field of vision musically. It's hard to take comparisons seriously when they come out like that though. it's best not to judge and just give the artists time to show you what they've got i reckon and i say that for fans and industry alike

ReplyDeleteYes you make rock music, and awesome rock music at that. But in truth your sound isn't even similar to Paramore's, your voice is much different to Hailey's AND, most importantly, Tat is much better than Paramore too!
